LivableStreets Alliance is a wonderful nonprofit located in the Metro Boston area. They advocate for transportation solutions that are safe, affordable, and enjoyable.  Their goal is to make communities more connected and livable, and to dismantle invisible barriers that divide communities and people.  Tour de Streets is their most important annual fundraising event, featuring a walk, bike ride, and a celebration with food, drinks, + activities provided by local vendors!

Join us for an interesting and fun ride as we bike from Newton to Central Square in Cambridge, join up with Tour de Streets for their “Bike ride North”, a guided tour of urban transportation infrastructure, then return to the Livable Streets office for food and drinks.  Schedule is: depart Newtonville at 9:30, arrive at Livable Streets  at 100 Sidney St. in Central Square by 10:15, then depart on “Bike ride North” at 10:30 am, arriving back at Livable Streets by 12:30pm.   We can enjoy some food and drinks there, and head back to Newton about 1:00pm.

Please note!  Livable Streets would like you to please pre-register here.  While you can ride for free, Livable Streets would love you to make a donation to their organization, which you can do here, or on the registration page.   They suggest a $25 donation, if you can do it!

Meet in front of the Star Market at 33 Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 9:30am Saturday.   This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult.  Bike helmets are required.   Approx. 22 miles roundtrip.   Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
