SUMMARY:Group Ride to Chestnut Hill Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a pleasant ride around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir; a loop starting at the Library in Newton Center\, heading out on Commonwealth Ave. to Cleveland Circle\, around the reservoir and returning on Beacon Street.  A scenic ride\, especially if you like the challenge of a couple of hills! \nMeet in front of the Newton Main Library on Homer St. in Newton Center\, and we’ll leave promptly at 6pm.   This is a family-friendly\, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited\, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult.  Bike helmets are required\, and please bring a mask or face covering.   A total of 7 miles round trip.  Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes. \nApproximate Route:  https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7583294

SUMMARY:Warm-up for the Tour de Newton
DESCRIPTION:It’s Father’s Day — the day we’d traditionally be cycling in the Tour de Newton.   However\, the 2021 Tour de Newton has been re-scheduled for September 19 this year (stay tuned for details)\, but this ride will start getting you in shape for that!  We will follow the route of the 2018 Tour de Newton “Contra tour”\, through many of the villages of Newton.    Meet in front of the Newton Free Library on Homer St. in Newton Center\, and we’ll leave at 2:00pm.   This is a family-friendly\, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited\, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult.
