DESCRIPTION:TOUR DE NEWTON 2018\nSunday\, June 17th\, 2018 start 9:00AM – finish 12:30PM\nTour de Newton 2018 will have NEW! routes starting in 4 villages – Newton Centre\, West Newton\, Newtonville and Waban + City Hall.. All routes will rendezvous at Newton City Hall on Commonwealth Ave to celebrate at the Cycle Village.\nNew for kiddos: #BikeHappyKids bike rodeo for our not yet road ready cyclists.\nNew for everyone: Cycle Village with cycling and lifestyle vendors \n________________________________________ \nWant to cycle? Pre-registration is required for all riders\, see below.\nWant to volunteer? Opportunities on the 4 cycling routes and/or at City Hall\, see below. \n________________________________________ \nTo celebrate BikeNewton.org’s 10th birthday\, we’re excited to announce a new format. TdN attracted 700+ riders and 80+ volunteers in 2017 and in 2018 we’re expecting 900+ and 100 volunteers. BikeNewton.org is a 501c3 organization promoting bicycling as viable transportation in Newton. [IRS EIN: 80-0317410]. \nNEW ROUTES! Tour de Newton cycling routes will have 4 village start locations (Newton Centre\, West Newton\, Newtonville and Waban). In addition\, there will be a Petite Tour and Contra Tour leaving from City Hall. All routes will begin at 9AM and travel to several other villages\, experience fun surprises\, see hidden Newton treasures and then lead to an 11AM rally at Newton City Hall with all the riders. Return with ride leader to your start location to finish by 12:30PM. \nNEW CYCLE VILLAGE!: We’re promoting a healthy\, inclusive community culture for all kinds of bicycle riders of all ages. TdN is inviting bicycle lifestyle vendors to promote their gear and services. All sponsors are invited to have a pop-up retail booth in the Cycle Village at Newton City Hall promoting their cycling friendly way of life. \nNEW BIKE RODEO! New for 2018 is BikeHappyKids\, our bike rodeo at Newton City Hall from 9AM-noon aimed at kiddos from 0 – 10 years. BikeHappyKids is for bicycle skills and street smarts\, building confidence and having fun on balance bikes\, adaptive bikes and all kinds of bicycles. \nREGISTER\nREGISTER FOR TOUR DE NEWTON\n• REGISTRATION FEES: Adults = $15.
