DESCRIPTION:We have much to discuss.  Office hours\, Video from the Riverside Greenway Forum\, City of Newton looking for input on Draft 2 of Hello Washington Street Planning Project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOffice Hours – Let’s Chat!\nSunday March 10th\ndrop by between 11am – 1pm\nNewton Innovation Center\n124 Vernon St Newton Corner\nJoin Bike Newton steering committee members to talk about the opportunities to create a more livable Washington Street including bike lanes\, trees. wider sidewalks\, parks\, businesses\, safer crossings and yes driving and parking and how you can advocate for this. \nThis is an important topic to talk about RIGHT NOW as we have just confirmed that the City Council will be discussing this at Public Safety & Transportation on  Wednesday 3/20 at 7 pm.  Your support is needed to keep this important concept moving forward. \nNot certain what we are talking about?  The link below is a video created by “Walkable Cities” Author Jeff Speck showcasing what could be on Washington Street.  Watch it as it lays out very well the issues with the current road design and lays out a vision for a Washington Street that is safer and more focused on people.  https://youtu.be/2zAMdQqkPhk \nHappy to discuss other bike related items too!
