SUMMARY:Group Ride - Arnold Arboretum & Jamaica Pond
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a cycling tour to Jamaica Plain through Newton \, Brookline and West Roxbury\, passing through the Arnold Arboretum and  returning via Jamaica Pond and some of the Jamaicaway bike path.   On the way back\, we can stop at JP Licks in JP Center for some ice cream!   Meet in front of the Newton Main library on Homer St. in Newton Center\, and we’ll leave at 1:00pm. This is a family-friendly\, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited\, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required.   13.5 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes. \nNewton – J.P. Approximate Route \n\n\n\n\nVolunteers Needed for Bike Rodeo Sunday May 7! \nBike Newton is excited to provide volunteers again for the Newton bike rodeo! This popular event\, back for its third year\, will take place from 10am to 2pm on Sunday\, May 7. Newton school students in grade K-6 work with Massachusetts Safe Routes to School instructors who teach and review bike riding skills. Bike Newton and Newton Safe Routes to School volunteers are needed for helmet fit\, ABC Quick Check\, hand signals\, and to work with the cycling instructors.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVolunteer for Bike Rodeo
