Group Ride – Arnold Arboretum & Jamaica Pond
Flowers are blooming, so what better time for a bicycle ride to the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain through Newton, Brookline and West Roxbury. Return trip via Jamaica Pond and some of the Jamaicaway bike path. We will stop for lunch in JP Center, or bring a picnic lunch, Meet in front of the Newton Main library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave promptly at 10:00 am. Group Bike Ride – Decordova Museum Lincoln
A nice ride to the Decordova Museum in Lincoln. Bring a picnic lunch, or dine at their Café. We can stay on the grounds or in the museum for as long as the group would like to. And, an optional stop at Dairy Queen on the way home! Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 10:00 AM. A nice ride from Newton Center through south Newton, Brookline and West Roxbury to Millennium Park, by the Charles River. Meet at the Newton Free Library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave at 9:30 AM. The group can decide how much exploring around the park they'd like to do once we get there. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 13 miles roundtrip. Group Ride – Fresh Pond – Tuesday!
Starting in Newtonville, we'll ride to Watertown Sq., down Arsenal St. a bit, and then onto the new Watertown-Cambridge Greenway to Fresh Pond. We'll loop around the Pond and head back on the trail. There is the option of stopping at the excellent Joyful Garden Chinese restaurant at the Watertown Mall on the way back for some supper -- we can take a vote on that when we get there. Ride to Beethoven’s Ninth
It's Summer in the City! Join us for an evening ride along the Charles River to the Hatch Shell. The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will be performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony and several other shorter works.
