Join us for a ride to kick off Mass Bike Month, hosted by Mass Bike, our great state-wide biking advocacy group. We’ll be going to Roundhead Brewing Co. in Hyde Park celebrate with other bikers. The plan is to leave from the Newton Library on Homer St. in Newton Center at 3:00pm. We’ll arrive at Roundhead Brewery at approx. 4:15, meet up with other bike enthusiasts from the Boston area and enjoy a beverage and a snack for a little break, then head back to Newton, arriving back at the library by 6:30pm. Mass Bike requests that you please register (https://www.massbike.org/bike_month_kickoff_2026) , so they will have an idea of how many riders to expect.
Meet in front of the Newton Main library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave at 3:00pm. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 20 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for last-minute changes.
