Newton Group Bike Ride

Join us for a ride to the first-ever Roslindale Jazz Festival at Adams Park, right in the middle of one of Boston's friendliest  neighborhoods.  We'll leave from the Newton Main Library at 11:45 am, ride through South Newton and West Roxbury,  and arrive at Adams Park in time to hear the first band at 1:00 pm.  Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, or get something in Roslindale Square.  The music goes to 6pm; some riders may want to return to Newton after taking a short break, while others may want to stay for longer.  We can discuss this at the event, but it [...]

Bike Together Waltham (BTW) conducts group rides on the last Saturday of the month (but this ride now postponed to Sunday, May 31), and today we will join their ride, and meet and mingle with our biking compatriots from Waltham!  We will depart from Star Market, 33 Austin St. in Newtonville at 11:30 am Sunday  May 31, and bike along the Charles River Trail to Waltham City Hall where the BTW ride starts at noon.  The BTW ride then ventures through local neighborhoods to Watertown before returning to Waltham, about [...]

Join us for a tour by bicycle of the Newton PorchFest 2026.   We'll start at the Library at 330 Homer St. and visit a number of bands in Waban, Aurburndale, West Newton and Lower Falls.  The whole tour is scheduled for about 3 hours; riders may bail out early and head home if they want to, or meet up during the ride at one of the stops.  Feel free to bring lunch, drinks, snacks.  The route we take and bands we see can be agreed upon by the group when we meet up.  Bring a map of the Porchfest, and if you have favorite [...]
