Join us for a biking tour of the 2023 Newton Porchfest. We’ll start at the Library on Homer St. and visit a number of bands in Waban, Aurburndale and Lower Falls. The whole tour is scheduled for about 5 hours; riders may bail out early and head home if they need to. Feel free to bring lunch, drinks, snacks. Here is an outline of the planned route:
Meet at Library 330 Homer St. 12 noon
At 12 noon ride to 5 Tudor Terrace, Band #6, “The Lights”, Pop/Rock
At 1 pm ride to 77 Kaposia St. , Band #19), “Hua Ye”, solo classical piano
At 2pm ride to 131 Woodland Rd., Band #33, “Lobohombre”, LatinX Punk Rock
At 3pm ride to 48 Swallow Drive, Band #53, “Polarized Guru”, jazz, funk, fusion
At 4pm ride to 114 Windermere Rd., Band #41, “Tokyo Tramps”, Blues Rock
At 5pm ride to the Library 330 Homer St.
Total Route = 10 miles
Meet in front of the Newton Main Library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave at 12 noon. This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Bike helmets are required. 10 miles roundtrip. Be sure to check bikenewton.org for any last-minute changes. (Note: Rain Date is June 4th)
