We will ride through Waltham, Weston and Lincoln on Rt. 117 to the Mass. Group Bike Ride – Fresh Pond – Cambridge Jazz Fest

Starting in Newtonville, we'll ride down Mt. Auburn St. through Watertown and Cambridge to Fresh Pond, work our way around the pond and then head over to Danehy Park to the 5th annual Cambridge Jazz Festival, which runs from 12 noon to 6pm.  Riders who would like to head back to Newton at that point may do so, led by a Bike Newton ride leader.  Riders who would like to stay at the festival for a bit and enjoy the music may do so, and then that group will return to Newton with another ride leader. A loop from the Library via Parker St, Dedham St and Nahanton St to the Newton Community Farm (just a ride-by) and then through Nahanton Park and returning to the Library via Winchester and Walnut Sts. And we'll take in a little of Crystal Lake as well. Meet in front of the Newton Main library on Homer St. in Newton Center, and we’ll leave promptly at 6pm. Have the option either to bike back to Newton or take your bike on the commuter rail from South Station. Trains leave at 12:40, 2:20, 4:20PM.
