Group Bike Ride – Allston / Asian Food Court

Group Ride – Verrill Farm Blueberry Pancake Breakfast

We will bike down Route 117 through Waltham, Weston and Lincoln to the Blueberry Pancake Breakfast at the Verrill Farm in Concord - a special event to celebrate the blueberry harvest. Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave at 8:30 AM.  (A little earlier than usual to try to beat the heat.)  This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Tour de Newton Retro Ride

We'll be following the course of the "Classic" Tour de Newton ride through all 13 villages (or most of them, anyhow!) Meet in front of the Star Market on Austin St. in Newtonville, and we’ll leave promptly at 9:00 AM.   This is a family-friendly, “no-rider-left-behind” ride and all ages are invited, but all young children must be accompanied by an adult. Taco Ride!

The 2019 Tour de Newton

"The Magical Mystery Tour Continues” We had so much fun last year with the mysteries along the way and the rally at city hall.  Tour de Newton 2019 will have routes starting in 4 villages – Newton Centre, West Newton, Newtonville and Waban + City Hall. All routes will rendezvous at Newton City Hall on Commonwealth Ave to celebrate.  In addition, there will be a Petite Tour and Contra Tour leaving from City Hall. All routes will begin at 9AM and travel to several other villages, experience fun surprises, see hidden Newton treasures and then lead to an 11AM rally at Newton City Hall [...]

Community Meeting on Extending Beacon Street Bike Lane

Bike Newton invites the public to attend the following community meeting, on Zoom, Weds. June 24 5:30-7pm: Overview: The City of Newton is planning to update the pavement markings on Beacon Street between Centre Street and Washington Street. The City is looking to incorporate a painted bike lanes on both sides of the street which would eliminate on-street parking in certain locations.
