Join Mothers Out Front & Bike Newton for a ride through Newton's scenic neighborhoods and see firsthand what happens to trees near gas leaks.  Learn more about the harmful effects of methane on tree health, and show your support for a healthier Garden City and  greener world.  Meet in Newton Centre on the Green across from Panera Bread.  The ride will last approximately 2 hours. Needham Street/Highland Ave. reconstruction project meetings

Your chance to learn about the design and timeline  Mass Department of Transportation is holding three public meetings to discuss the proposed reconstruction of Highland Ave in Needham and Needham and Winchester Streets in Newton. The project would stretch roughly two miles, from Webster Street in Needham to Route 9 in Newton. It would widen sidewalks, improve intersections, add raised bikes lanes and crossing signals and rehabilitate the bridge over the Charles River.
